Pronouns - Possessive

The possessive pronouns that we will discuss in this post are My/mine , your , his , her , our , their.

Tamil equivalents will be ennudaiya,engaludaiya,unnudaiya,ungaludaiya,avanudaiya,avaludaiya,avarudaiya ( suffix - udaiya )

Hindi equivalents will be mera, humara ,tumhara , uska , uski etc.


My <=> Nanna

Idhu Nanna pustaka. --> This is my book.

I  pustaka nannadhu. --> This book is mine.


Nanna hesaru Rama. --> My name is Rama.


Nanna thantheya hesaru Dasaratha. --> My fathers name is Dasaratha.


Ours <=> Namma

Namma ooru Bangalore. --> Our city is Bangalore.

Namma desa bharata. --> Our country is India.


Your <==> Nimma

Nimma hesaru  enu ?. --> What is your name ?.

Nimma vidhyaharathe enu ?. --> What is your qualification ?.


Nimma edakade yaaru kood kondithaare ?. -- Who is sitting on your left side ?.


His <==> Avana/Ivana

Avana hesaru Rama. --> His name is Rama.

Avana thamma Lakshmana. --> His brother is Lakshman.


Her <==> AvaLa / IvaLa


AvaLa hesaru Radha. --> Her name is Radha.

AvaLa thangiya hesaru Ranjitha. --> Her sister's name is Ranjitha.


Their <==> Avara / Ivara

Avara Ooru Dharwad. --> Their hometown is Dharwad.

Avara maganu  Singaporedalli iddane. --> His(with respect )  son is in Singapore.
