Pronouns - Subjective

This post will concentrate on Subjective Pronouns. I,We,He,She,They,You are the pronouns that we will discuss here.

Tamil equivalents will be Naan,Naangal,Nee,Neengal,Avan,Avar,Aval etc.

Hindi equivalents will be Mein , Hum , Tum etc





I / Iam <=> Naanu

Naanu Rama   --> Iam Rama.

Naanu manege hogutaidini --> Iam going home.


Naanu obba shikshaki --> Iam a teacher


We <=> Naavu

Naavu mahileyaru --> We are ladies

Naavu cinemage hoguvevu --> We will go to cinema


You(Singular) <=> Neenu

Neenu yaaru --> Who are you?


Neenu ellinda bande ? --> Where are you from?


Neenu yaara manege hoga beku ? --> Whose house do you want to go to ?


You(Plural or with respect when talking to a elder person) <=> Neevu


Neevu ellinda bandiri --> Where are you from ?


Neevu eshtu gantege barutheera ? --> What time are you coming ?


Neevu ellige hoga beku ? --> Where do you what to go ?


He <=> Avanu / Ivanu

Avanu yaaru ? --> Who is he?


Avanu Rama --> He is Rama.


Ivanu malagidane --> He had slept.


Note: If the subject is away use Avanu. If closer then use Ivanu


She <=> AvaLu / IvaLu

AvaLu Radha --> She is Radha.


AvaLu shaalenalli oduthidaale --> She is studing in school.


AvaLu elli iddale ? --> Where is she ?


Note: If the subject is away use AvaLu. If closer then use IvaLu


They <=> Avaru / Ivaru.


Avaru aata aaduthidaare --> They are playing a game , or with respect He is playing a game.


Avaru yaaru ? --> Who are they ? or with respect Who is he/she ?


Avaru ellidaare ? --> Where are they ? or with respect Where is he/she ?



Note: If the subject is away use Avaru. If closer then use Ivaru
