Pronouns - Subjective , Objective , Posessive and Demonstrative.

My next few posts will concentrate on Pronouns  - Subjective , Objective ,Posessive  and Demonstrative.

A Pronoun is used in place of a noun for instance he, she, it , they, you,me etc.


A sample usage as follows:


Rathi studies in Grade I.

She is an intelligent girl.

Subjective Pronouns:  Pronouns that occur as the subject of the sentence performing the action.


They went to cinema yesterday.


Objective Pronouns: Pronouns that occur as the object of the sentence on which the action is performed


I gave the book to him.


Posessive Pronouns: Pronouns that shows ownership of an object.


That is her pen.


Demonstrative Pronouns: Pronouns that tells the location of the noun.


This is  a book.
